WS6 PERFORMANCE PACKAGE
History/Overview: This is a rare 1982 Pontiac Trans Am Recaro Edition — one of only 2000 produced. The car was purchased with 107,774 kms and currently at 117,100 kms. Alberta car and always stored indoors. A well-documented, nicely optioned survivor with a very limited production run. Built in the USA.
Body: Original black exterior. Repainted. Straight and solid throughout. T-top equipped with new drip rails installed. Turbo bulge hood is correct for the WS6 package. Unaltered factory body panels. No filler detected. Good windshield.
Frame/Chassis/Suspension: WS6 Performance Package suspension including stiffer springs and heavy duty dampers. 12.7:1 quick steering ratio and rear anti-roll bars. New sway bar front links. Factory big block suspension geometry. Rear anti-roll bars included in WS6 package.
Engine: 305 CID V8 with factory Crossfire Fuel Injection. Stock 165 HP rating. New camshaft, timing chain, water pump, distributor, ignition coil, spark plugs and spark plug wires installed in 2019. New oxygen sensor. New EGR valve with serviced EGR solenoid. New rubber vacuum lines. Motorkote oil change. No leaks.
Transmission: 3 speed automatic. Serviced with Motorkote transmission treatment at 112,000 km. Shifts well with no issues.
Differential: Factory limited slip differential with 3.23 gears. Runs with 2200 rpm at 100 km per hour.
Exhaust: Single aluminized steel with splitter in the rear for dual exit. Catalytic converter installed. Factory exhaust manifolds.
Brakes: WS6 four-wheel disc. Serviced and bled with new fluid. New brake calipers and pads front and rear. New front brake lines.
Wheels: Original gold turbocast aluminum 15-inch rims with black bowling ball hubcaps.
Tires: Cooper Cobra Radial GT P215/65R15. New 2 years ago with low miles. Raised white letters are mounted inside.
Interior: Black/Perella charcoal Recaro bucket seats in good condition – the defining feature of this limited edition. New dash pad installed. AC works with new compressor. New old stock power window switches and new old stock driver’s side power lock switch installed.
Extras included: All service records since 2019. Car cover.
Options and Special Features: Power steering, brakes, locks and mirrors. AM/FM cassette with power antenna. Lockable storage compartments in the rear.
Known issues: Power antenna does not retract. Surface rust on underside of floor pans. Steering wheel has wear. LH seat wear on edge. Minor leaks in engine, transmission and differential. Rattle at LH rear wheel cover (safety security zip tie likely fell off).
Reason for selling: Downsizing.
