454 CID with FACTORY A/C

History: Purchased new at Shaw GMC in Calgary, Alberta. First owner had a topper on it protecting the box nicely. First owner passed away in the 1990s and the truck sat until 2019 when current owner purchased it. Originally a 454 CID with the Heavy Half option. This is a professional frame off restoration. Super smooth running and driving truck. 77,837 miles on the odometer (likely original miles).
Body: Cab was replaced which had original cab corners and rockers. Very little orange peel – paint was polished once with no visible marks. Spray in box liner including bottom 4 inches of inner box sides with balance painted – all matching to exterior colour. Box floor is straight with very few dents. Original hood, fenders, box floor, box sides and tailgate. No after market sheet metal parts. All new body rubbers and seals. New windshield. Long box.
Frame/Chassis/Suspension: Frame sand blasted and then painted with POR 15. All factory steering and suspension components were serviced or replaced.
Engine: Period correct 454 CID came from a 1973 dually with only 60,000 miles (freshened). New oil, water and fuel pumps. Original Quadra Jet carb. New gas tanks, sending units and fuel lines.
Transmission: Turbo 400 freshened.
Differential: Likely factory original with unknown gears.
Exhaust: Dual with new tailpipes – aluminized steel.
Brakes: Front disc and drum rear – completely rebuilt.
Wheels: Period correct 15 inch Rally with beauty rings.
Tires: New Cooper Discovery AT3 – 235 75R15
Interior: Seat was reupholstered. New carpet, dash pad, door panels and trim from LMC. Original gauge cluster.
Extras included: None
Options and Special Features: Power steering, brakes and locks. Air conditioning, factory tilt steering and cruise control. Sliding back window. Dual fuel tanks. Chrome side mirrors. AM FM cassette player. Front bumper bumperettes.
Known issues: One chip in windshield. Fine scratches on top of original front bumper. Few chips on black areas of grill with some grill teeth broken or missing. Note: Reproduction grills for this year are not available. Factory AC is complete but needs new refrigerant.
Reason for selling: Professional shop thinning inventory.
