History/Overview: GM Canada factory documentation confirms this is a genuine 1973 Chevrolet Nova Custom built at the Willow Run, MI plant on March 2, 1973. Originally sold new by Alex Irvine Motors Ltd. in Scarborough, Ontario. Finished from the factory in Light Blue with black vinyl bucket seats. Born a manual transmission – factory-equipped with the L48 350 CID 4-barrel V8 and M20 4-speed wide-ratio transmission. Owned by the same family since October 2002, always garage kept and never winter driven. The car has been fully restored, colour changed and now with a modern EFI upgrade. Odometer shows 76,549 miles. Affordable Muscle!
Body: GM Butternut Yellow with black Chevelle style wide stripes. Cowl hood. Sheet metal is straight and solid original steel. Front and rear bumpers and lower rocker trim have been powder coated grey colour. 1968/69 bumpers. Handy factory hatchback.
Frame/Chassis/Suspension: Stock components in good condition. Front coil springs with gas shocks. Rear leaf springs with gas shocks.
Engine: Likely Factory original L48 350 CID (rebuilt) 4-barrel V8. ACES Wild Card port electronic fuel injection (EFI) complete with intake manifold controlled through an 8-inch tablet with Bluetooth connectivity. In-tank fuel pump.
Transmission: Factory M20 4-speed (rebuilt) wide-ratio manual with a Hurst shifter.
Differential: GT6 posi rear end with 3:42 gears. Runs at approximately 2400 rpm at 100 km/hr
Exhaust: Dual aluminized steel with Magnaflow mufflers and chrome tips.
Brakes: Factory JL2 front disc brakes with J50 vacuum power assist drums in the rear.
Wheels: 15-inch period correct Rally.
Tires: Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires – front 215 70R15 with 255 60R15 in the rear.
Interior: Very nice condition. Factory A51 bucket seats. Auto Meter gauges mounted in the console – looks great. Additional removable arm rest/storage console with lid and cup holders. Super Tach II aftermarket tach, exterior mounted.
Extras included: New Tanks Inc. gas tank. Comes with the full GM Canada factory documentation package: original build sheet, VIN, production and shipping dates, dealer info and factory options list. Also includes a professional third-party appraisal (2009), some receipts, restoration photos and a GM Sales booklet.
Options and Special Features: Power steering and power brakes. Factory tach in dash. Factory AM radio. After market BOSS stereo in glove box with Bluetooth with kicker speakers: two 4 inch on dash and two 6X9 in the rear. SONY 220 Watt amp in the rear. Upgraded LED headlights.
Known issues: Paint chips on the RH quarter panel and inside the wheel openings. Small rust bubbles at the bottom front corner of both doors. A few minor paint touch-ups. Paint crack around the LH door key lock. Small perforation in the rear floor pans. Only one spot of filler detected in the lower area of the RH front fender behind the front tire. Horn not working. Turn signals do not always self-cancel.
