FRAME OFF IMPECCABLE RESTORATION
History: This Corvette was built in the last hour of the last day of production prior to the GM Strike of 1970. Purchased new at Shaganappi Chev Olds in Calgary, Alberta. Purchased from the original owner in 2002. Extensive frame off restoration started in 2013 and was completed in 2017. There was no detail or expense spared on this build. Never ever stored outside or driven in the rain! Factory tags and paint marks are still in tact on the undercarriage! Oil was changed every Fall before storing it in a Car Jacket with moisture remover. Everything works! Only 53,968 original miles and only 500 miles on the build – and it shows. Body: Original Donnybrooke green car. Only one repaint in Limerock Green – a 2014 Corvette limited edition colour. No damage or body cracks anywhere. New convertible top was aways stored in the down position.
Frame/Chassis/Suspension: Frame was stripped to bare metal and painted. Factory components – all wear parts were replaced. All new brake and fuel lines.
Engine: New 383 CID crate stroker with 400 HP supplied by Western Corvette in Calgary. Numbers matching original (operational) 350 CID/300 HP engine comes with the car (approx. 53,400 miles). New battery installed October 2024. Rebuilt original carburetor. All new wiring.
Transmission: Rebuilt MUNCIE M21 close ratio (M20 case from a 1973 Corvette) – 4 speed manual. Original (operational) numbers matching MUNCIE M20 4 speed transmission comes with the car.
Differential: Original with unknown gears. Runs with 2700 rpm at 100 km per hour.
Exhaust: Dual aluminized steel with wrapped long tube headers. NOS tips and bezels.
Brakes: 4-wheel factory disc.
Wheels: Original steel Rally 15 inch with original hub caps and beauty rings
Tires: Firehawk Indy 500 235 60R 15 replicas of originals with 800 miles.
Interior: All Factory original in amazing condition with new carpet.
Extras included: Two car covers and a Car Jacket c/w zipper (value $700). Car comes with all original parts removed during the restoration – such as the original exhaust manifolds, brake rotors, tie rod ends and more. Additional new in box convertible top (Saddle color). Hundreds of digital photos of the build process.
Options and Special Features: Power steering and power brakes. Replica radio/stereo with selectable digital or original look face. Amp and speakers mounted in the rear storage compartment (removable with no trace).
