History/Overview: This was a California (C Code) car that was sold into Washington State and then to Canada. It was originally Arcadian Blue colour. Last purchased in 2005 and is now in Chilliwack, BC. The car was always stored indoors. Likely three owners in all. Approximately 25,000 miles on the rebuilt engine and transmission. Odometer shows 78163 miles.
Body: Straight and solid with nice lines and gaps. Mazda colour Winning Blue. New front fenders. Nice glass throughout. Appears to be a new full floor pan coated with POR 15 coating. Stick on aftermarket Shelby emblems.
Frame/Chassis/Suspension: Stock components in good condition. New rear leaf springs (2008) with gas shocks in the rear.
Engine: Rebuilt289 CID V8 likely numbers matching by Chris Wood Engines in Cranbrook, BC (receipt for $2436.00). Mild cam and roller rockers. Non modified rebuilt original heads. Edelbrock Performer 289 intake with Edelbrock 4 bbl carburetor. New battery and alternator.
Trans: Rebuilt C4 with mild shift kit.
Differential: Likely original with unknown gears.
Exhaust: Daul aluminized steel with Flow Master 40s mufflers and chrome tips. Sounds good.
Brakes: Manual brakes. New stock style front disc with drums in the rear.
Wheels: 14-inch steel with factory or period correct wheel covers.
Tires: New SAILUN 205 70R14.
Interior: Original or period correct interior in nice condition.
Extras included: Front and rear carpeted floor mats. A binder filled with documents and receipts including the Engine rebuild spec. sheet.
Options and Special Features: Aftermarket stereo with single CD player. Original radio.
Known issues: Radio and stereo not working. Typical cowl leak (aftermarket cowl cover included). Speedometer/odometer not working. Rub mark in paint LH door. Floor pan was lap welded and needs proper seam sealer. Small engine oil leak. Front bumper has pitting. Slight paint spider webbing on top of RH front fender. Reproduction rear bumper has imperfections. A few dings on the RH roof chrome trim. RH window hard to roll down. A few noticeable paint touch ups by RH side rear window. 2 paint chips LH rocker edge. Small amount of filler detected in RH quarter. A few light scratches on hood – can be polished out. Some marks on the LH seat chrome edge cover.
Reason for selling: Downsizing.
