1964 CHEVROLET IMPALA SS

Chev Impala RED CALGARY

RARE RED on RED
ONE PAINT SURVIVOR

History: This is a very early 1964 Production year car. RARE red on red – great Collector value. Imported from southern USA 20 years ago and enjoyed ever since. Garage kept – never seen snow. Cowl tag and VIN plate in place. Recent maintenance and repair work was completed at a Calgary shop (September 2025) for a total of $3203.49. Odometer reads 75813 miles.

NOTE regarding SS Authenticity: Accompanying the vehicle is an exceptionally rare and historically significant piece of original GM documentation: the Factory Fisher Body Trim & Final Inspection Sheet. These sheets were internal production documents used on the assembly line during the build process. They were never intended for the public, never archived by dealerships and almost always lost over time. The sheet included with this car is an authentic survivor bearing the expected aging, staining and handling marks from assembly-line usage. Despite its fragile condition, the document still retains legible inspection fields, trim verification, interior component checks, and line-worker annotations.
The sheet confirms original factory components, including interior trim, carpet and seat inspections, glass certification (including Soft-Ray tinted glass), door fit, rear speaker verification, and electrical checks. This factory production line document is a nice addition to the cowl tag and VIN plate.

A few paint chips – two of them on the hood have visible spot repairs. Some filler detected on lower sheet metal – more on the RH side. Alternator belt squeak. Glove box door latch needs an adjustment (not fully closing). Fine vibration at 80 KM per hour (may need a tire balance or possibly a U-joint). Hood is high at the back – needs adjustment. Trunk lid is high at the back RH corner – needs adjustment. Speedometer and clock do not work (speedometer just needs to be hooked up). Pulls a bit to the left when braking (needs to be driven more). Some surface rust under vinyl trunk floor mat from condensation.
