SUNLINER CONVERTIBLE
History: Purchased in 1999 in Calgary, Alberta. The car was enjoyed on many long road trips. No filler detected in this car. Odometer reads 52,738 miles.
Body: Older repaint. Straight and solid with no filler detected with a magnet test. New windshield. Fender skirts.
Frame/Chassis/Suspension: Factory components in good condition. Rear leaf springs were rebuilt at Standens Springs in Calgary.
Engine: Rebuilt 352 CID by Competition Engines in Crossfield, Alberta in 2012. Edelbrock intake with Edelbrock 600 cfm carburetor. 100-amp one wire alternator. New radiator in 2012.
Transmission: Rebuilt Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed automatic in 2023 with about 5000 miles.
Differential: Likely original Ford 9 inch with unknown gears.
Exhaust: Dual aluminized steel with 2 pairs of cherry bomb mufflers.
Brakes: Factory 4-wheel drum. All new components.
Wheels: American Racing 15 inch 5 spoke alloy.
Tires: BF Goodrich Radial TA 255 60R 15
Interior: New upholstery in 2016 with very nice seats and new carpet.
Extras included: Original generator, regulator and starter. Shop manual.
Options and Special Features: Factory power steering and power brakes. Original radio. Power retracting convertible top.
Known issues: Soft top is repaired in 3 places. Transmission fluid was leaking and now repaired; there is some fluid residue on the undercarriage that can be washed off. LH rocker cover is dented. Road rash and surface rust on bottom of both rockers. Paint chips on LH door edge. Double scratch on LH rear quarter. Scratches on trunk lid. Large paint chip on RH side below corner of convertible top. Fading with rub marks on LH interior door garnish molding and arm rest. Cracked steering wheel. Occasional vapor lock in hot weather – corrected by simply using the electric fuel pump in those conditions.
Reason for selling: Downsizing for health reasons.
