History/Overview: This is a family truck originally purchased new by Grandpa in southern Alberta. The truck sat dormant for 40 years. The build was started in 2018 and finished in early 2023. This truck is totally reliable and was driven through 17 USA States and three Canadian Provinces in 2024 with 8849 proven miles. Appears in Oct 2024 Street Scene magazine covering the Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky.
The truck was test driven at 125 miles per hour with no issues. Drive in comfort and with confidence. The truck runs super smooth with no vibrations or rattles. It pulls hard with the Coyote engine and Roush Super Charger and will spin the tires at anytime. No leaks. Wife’s summer daily diver. Great street and highway cruiser.
Body: All steel. 1.5 inch chop with pancaked roof. New steel front fenders with stock seams removed. Modified rear fenders to accommodate custom rear tail pan. 1937 Lincoln Zephyr LED taillights. Windshield is stock size and flush mounted.1953 Ford stock size rear window converted to power operation. Side and rear glass are 50% tinted. Box is all new sheet metal with raised oak floor and power tailgate. The box is dustproof and waterproof for worry free storage. Hand formed front bumper to match front grill bars. Durable PPG Delfleet commercial single stage paint. Paint code included. Beautiful custom pin stripping by the famous Mike Schartel from Santa Barbara, California and done at the 2024 Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky. Paint code included.
Frame/Chassis/Suspension: Fully boxed frame with high end Kugel Komponents smooth riding 4-wheel independent suspension. Front and rear adjustable coil over shocks. Ford power rack and pinion steering.
Engine: ROUSH COYOTE 5.0 L with Super Charger. Complete drivetrain came from a 2017 Roush Mustang donor car from Georgia, USA with only 143 miles! 150L custom built fuel tank. Custom built steel/brass/copper FORD embossed radiator by Don’s Radiator in Lethbridge, Alberta. Never overheats. Custom built super charger radiator also by Don’s Radiator. Ron Francis wiring. Stock engine in every way including the front pulley system, BMW electric power steering pump frame mounted under radiator.
Trans: 6R80 6 speed from the same 2017 Mustang donor car which had only143 miles. Stock transmission cooler.
Differential: Currie 9-inch carrier with 3.00 gears. Runs with 2000 rpms at 110 km per hour.
Exhaust: 2 ½ inch dual aluminized steel with electric cut outs.
Brakes: Wilwood 4-wheel power disc with Hydro boost.
Wheels: Wheel Smith custom billet – powder coated centres and fully powder coated clear for low maintenance and no polishing required. Front 17 X 6 and 18 X 10 in the rear.
Tires: Front Rock Blade 215 60R 17 and NITTO 295 45ZR 18 in the rear with only 8849 miles.
Interior: Beautiful high-end custom soft Italian leather upholstery with custom built console and built-in storage all by Cascade Vans in Calgary, Alberta. Both bucket seats are power operated and have slide out storage compartments underneath each one. IDidit tilt steering column. Dakota Digital gauges centre mounted in a 1932 Ford cluster. Aircraft shoulder harness seat belts.
Extras included: Some extra carpet and leather.
Options and Special Features: Power steering, brakes and windows. Power rear window and power tailgate. Blue tooth stereo system. Vintage Air AC and heat with Vintage Air controls in oval bezel. Dash cam front and rear cameras. Retractable cup holders in kick panels.
Known issues: A few small rock chips on the lower front of the rear fenders. Two small paint stars on the hood front nose. One paint chip on the right rear fender on top of wheel opening. Bit of wind noise in both doors. Electric power steering pump makes a bit of noise at idle.
Reason for selling: Downsizing.
