History: Imported from the USA in 2009. Last purchased shortly after in Victoria, BC. Car is tight with no rattles and the engine runs very smooth and quiet. Hard to find a single mark in the paint. Black and beautiful. Receipts for $26,796 for mechanical and electrical repairs from 2009 to 2011 with very few miles since the work was completed. No evidence of body filler anywhere. Odometer reads 20,381 miles (could even be original miles).
Body: Solid and straight with no evidence of rust in the sheet metal. The paint is VERY good. Hood opens both ways. No evidence of filler anywhere. Glass is nice throughout.
Frame/Chassis/Suspension: All original components in good working condition.
Engine: Likely original Packard straight 8 cylinder with 165 HP.
Transmission: 3 speed manual with column shifter and overdrive with Electromatic clutch.
Differential: Likely original with unknown gears.
Exhaust: Single aluminized steel.
Brakes: Factory 4-wheel drum with recent rebuild work completed.,
Wheels: 15-inch steel with Packard hub caps.
Tires: Good Year Custom Super Cushion 235 75R 15 wide white walls.
Interior: Likely original cloth hounds tooth upholstery with plastic cover still on the front bench seat. Beautiful dash with factory clock. Woodgrain door garnish moldings. Carpet and head liner appear to be original. Original AM radio.
Extras included: 1946-50 Packard Service Manual. Receipts for $26,796 for major mechanical and electrical repairs. Packard vinyl floor mats. Car cover.
Options and Special Features: Front bench seat lap belts. Ashtray in rear of front seat back. Automatic windshield washer.
Known issues: Drivetrain leaks from not driving it enough. Head liner is loose in places. Rust in bottom of spare tire cavity.
